Canon Point: Post Anime
AU/CRAU: Straight up canon~!
Age: 26ish
History:

This is also continued on in more canon detail in "Plot Overview" but there's a bunch of spoilers so... Spoiler warning! Mind, this whole thing has spoilers in it. Sorry!
Personality
No matter what age, Belphegor is relatively the same with a varying level of maturity. I use "Maturity" lightly because he was still playful, childish and mischievous alongside his usual deadly when older. Descending from royalty, and acting like it at every moment this slothful Prince can, even in his younger years Belphegor was a violent, bloodthirsty child. None of which seemed to be dissuaded by his parents from what we're told or shown. One such event he reminisces about in front of the brother that he inflicted the situation upon, is the day that at a tender age he mauled his younger brother. Rasiel, his mirror twin brother, gives us further details into this devious (and at the time) prepubescent boy and we learn that even at the age of eight years old, Belphegor was deceitful enough to know to drug his older brother in order to over-take him and achieve his goal. More than likely, part of his own plan, he started out by their normal, daily hate, or as he put it "Painting boogers" on each other. From there it escalated to further violence via small rocks, bigger rocks, knives and eventually Belphegor mutilating his brother's small body and raising his arms in victory about it like a small child would about any accomplishment. He's unmoved by danger, undeterred by death and welcomes the chance to be part of both.
In his youth, before becoming a little more sedated about his battles with less to prove the more he aged, Belphegor seems to have a split personality, one that only comes out when he's at his darkest hours. Belphegor aka "Prince The Ripper" was summarized by Mammon in the anime as being both "Innocence and Cruelty. There is no one more suited to be in the Varia Assassination Squad than Bel.". This is the best summary of The Prince himself, Belphegor is a true and honest to any god maniac when we first meet him and see him fight. Unlike some of the other Varia its only his inexorable malignancy that spurs him on until he finds himself in a state of ravage. The sight of his own blood, his 'Royal Blood', gives way to a psychopathic bedlamite bent only on one thing- winning, being number one, proving he is the best. Be it for Xanxus or himself it's entirely unclear and up for debate. But by any and all means possible even if it means the self-sacrifice of his long range safety to the thing he's going after. He's a determined, deranged sort of fellow that way.
He's cold, calculating, arrogant, condescending, and a genius in his field (the battlefield) regardless of the battlefield, something that even Fran recognizes [CH220 PG06] that Belphegor isn't someone to mess with up to the point he really is getting angry. Fran whom is the one that broke Mukuro (his Master) out of an impenetrable fortress, and is the only one to date to get in and out, still has a healthy fear of Belphegor. Bel uses everything to his advantage; persuasion, intimidation, mental wit along with psychological warfare and jocular insults, even the slightest little touch can be the brush of death his opponent or otherwise unwary victim was set up for. Gokudera himself, a self professed prodigy as well, fell for his ingenious methods the first time they met in battle. His cunning and calculated coldness, the shark-tooth grin and his hidden eyes are all reminiscent of a monster waiting to spring at the smallest provocation or sign of weakness. Worse still is when he's really in to the battle or faces losing/being injured. All it takes is one small incident, just one drop of his own blood or letting him know how beat down he's become and it's all down hill in the worst ways from there. Belphegor won't stop until he's won, been knocked out or killed.
Belphegor also has a warped sense of loyalty to more than just himself and showing off his abilities. It seems odd that one as narcissistic and lazy as Belphegor, only out for himself on the surface, in the end run would stave off those tendencies he clings to and become loyal to one cause, to one family. Ultimately it comes down to something quite obvious and that's Belphegor thinks the world of the people he's with in a way that "normal" and "healthy" family-type relationships don't have. Perhaps not the same way one thinks of their peers in a sane manner, either. With Xanxus as example, Bel doesn't respect him instead for his incredible upstanding personage in society, those are qualities that one would normally associate respect and admiration for. But Bel? Belphegor respects the power, violence, intelligence and iron fist ability that Xanxus holds. He's more than once sang Xanxus' praise and during the fight in which Xanxus kidnapped the Ninth and had Tsuna's hand be the deciding blow that almost killed him, telling Varia members more or less relax. Telling them without so many words that Xanxus has the situation under control in the most sinister of ways so they wouldn't interrupt their Boss' plan.
His loyalty extends to the Varia family at large from which he fights beside and fights with. He's seen in his early years picking fights that the others know were big talk coming from a young man trying to prove himself in a world of older, more experienced fighters right on up to the time that he gets into a playful brawl with Squalo over the messaging system in front of The Vongola lot. It may be a twisted sense of loyalty now that he's older, Ten Years Later (herein TYL) and calmed down a lot more than his Ten Years Earlier (herein TYE) self, but it is with loyalty and pride that he conducts himself and establishes himself among the Varia. In the Future Arc, we get to see that he's matured since we saw him in the first bit of the series. As all people, even the selfish, self-centred Prince can mature given time, even if he's still somewhat immature in the way he holds himself or throws knives into Fran's back by the dozens, banters back and forth with Fran or Squalo. Or anyone in their group.
While he still has a carefree attitude, choosing to be laid back and wait to strike among all the other faces of Belphegor, he's not only batle smart, but street smart. He knows how final the laws of the Mafia he entered into all those years ago can be, how fatal they can be and how dangerous they can be. Yet he never misses a beat when it comes to a battle or to deciphering his team mates around him and is himself a child prodigy often called a demon when he was younger. Even in his TYE chapters Belphegor is well aware of the world around him holding dangers, looks them in the face and laughs. Some of those dangers he craves and others he respects enough not to poke or prod to find out their ultimate boundaries as he's so willing to do with some of the people residing under them.
Belphegor can be many things at one time, or all things at any time. A dangerous psychopath all the way to a helpful member of his group taking orders from his superiors without (too much) complaining. He's one of the most interesting men underneath all that bravado and each layer one peels back reveals yet another to enjoy.
Debt: This has been pre-worked out with Fran-mun (Rose), you're more than welcome to check with them. Because at the canon point to which Bel was being taken, seeing Mammon the Witch could have told him there was an illusionist he is close to that needed his help paying of a debt, leading him to believe it was Mammon. To his dismay, this isn't true, it ends up being Fran, which will ensue hilarity all over the place.

Abilities:
General/Physical:
His mental genius and slight of hand/trickiness is a main one it seems he uses. Invisible wire onto someone's shirt or a particular surface facilitates his ability to throw knives no matter the conditions or where the person has hidden/object is. He of course doesn't absolutely need the wire, he really can do it without from what I've seen in his skill and how people speak of him, however not with the same accuracy should there be weather factors or other things that the environment wouldn't be hospitable to. Aided with agility in lieu of incredulous endurance (though that seems pretty inhuman as well at times, all things considered), his body is more than just a Cheshire cat grin, but a basis of cat-like reflexes in or out of his 'Prince the Ripper' persona. What he lacks in brute strength and long lasting physical durability, he makes up greatly in the aforementioned areas. He's more a sprint fighter than a long term brawler, preferring to hit quick, hit hard and find the next move if he needs one instead of mindlessly running in fists swinging.
Individualistic Weaponry
Knives
Not coincidentally, the author of KHR has decided to give Belphegor the ability to throw multiple knives at one time. These knives are more than likely attached to wires that he's placing, but I'm more than confident when I say he doesn't need just prefers his throwing-knife technique to be doubled with the wires.
Wires
Again in a true nature, Belphegor welcomes his prey into his web without a single word as it's spun around them using the direction of his knives as the way to introduce them into a cocoon of razor sharp wire. He's shown using countless angle of wire around Gokudera in their first battle for the Vongola Storm Ring during the Guardian dispute. These wires are used not only for cutting reasons, but also to entrap his enemy with their placement, it's later revealed in his TYL self, that he's accomplished to a fine art of ice-sculpting with his technique. He's that concentrated on his abilities he's mastered them to this sort of art.
Techniques
Cutting Knives Waltz
Arguably the most advanced and deadly of all of Bel's techniques using his wires and his knives, he again weaves a web of wire on a larger scale and aligns his knives along them in an impressive number. There is no blind spot to this attack as more than likely, the opponent is surrounded by both the wire and the insurmountable number of knives that are intended for one thing- the sole reason of ending its targets life. This is also the method he uses in his older age (in the OVA if one would like to take that as canon) to ice-sculpt. There is a TYE version of this ability, it's the same idea but more knives and more wires. Though I'm sure that TYL is capable of this, the dynamic looks a bit different. It probably just ends out being how the anime felt like doing it.
Abilities
Individualistic Weaponry
Storm Knives
They're exactly as they sound, knives imbued with the storm flame's disintegration attribute.
Box Animal/Weapon (Storm Mink)
What is a box Animal/Box Weapon?
In short, a box weapon, which ironically aren't designed as conventional weapons, usually take on the form of animals. These animals possess great powers that are derived out of the user's own Dying Will Flames. They serve the purpose of offensive or defensive tactics dependant, again, on the user.
Animal Techniques
Frictional Flame Production
Just as any fire can be created through friction, so can Mink create flames through the rubbing of it's body against another object. Similar, I'd suppose, to striking a match.
Tail Shield
With the use of Storm Flames, Mink is able to create a shield in front of Belphegor, or people around him with the flames on its then spinning tail. This is demonstrated in use in the manga when Mink is utilized protecting both Belphegor and Fran from an attack brought about by his old Butler. I can only assume that the shield could be tailored bigger or smaller in order to protect just himself or more people around him. This would, of course, require higher energy output as does all things requiring the box animal.
Crimson Flames
Also known as "Fiamma Scarlatta" is a large wall of flame created by Mink to incinerate multiple enemies at once. At first it's implied it has a specific height, but quickly, as we learn in the manga, Belphegor simply extends its reaches with total disregard for the environment burning around him or his subordinates. It is implied that the enemies engulfed in the flames were instantly killed.
Animal Combination Attacks
Bel Dive
This wouldn't be applicable unless Leviathan, another Varia team member, were present, but I will detail it as it is another aspect of Mink. Though otherwise unofficial (at least to what I've read), I'm also assuming other combinations are possible, but unused or not shown. Belphegor has no love loss for Leviathan so there's no reason the attack, or a combination attack would just be those two in relation to one another that I can see at this point in time. However, with Leviathan not being there it's not a huge issue truthfully. I don't see it having to be used outright or any time soon considering there's other things he could use well before this sort of power. For continuity sake though here's what it is!
Bel Dive is an attack that's an amalgamation of Leviathan's box animal, Livya and Belphegor's Mink. With the combined effort of both Storm Flames and Lightning Flames (Livya's ability) they dive toward the enemy from above and unleash the ability together.

Platonic Physical Contact: At your own risk. If he doesn't like it or doesn't like you, he'll likely take the offending appendage off. I, however, will go on record right now as saying I will not do anything overly violent without contacting you by PM or some other method. I do reserve the right to have him slap away or something to the effect depending on your own permissions and any conversation we have previously unless permissions are somehow revoked and I'm made aware.
Romantic/Sexual Physical Contact: At your own risk. Mun wise, I don't mind the character in these situations, but I can guarantee you he will either like it or won't and if he's tolerating it you're lucky or he likes you or he feels like it. Platonic may be the way to go until he's certain of how he feels about a character. I don't mean he has to be uguu in love, that won't happen as a traditional such, but he is finicky about who touches him.
Violent Physical Contact: Within reason, anything that causes severe bleeding (I suggest you don't, if you initiate this without asking me the consequences, I will automatically assume you know them and stuff and things will ensue) please contact. If it's swatting him away or something menial I suggest it stay that way until we have a conversation, making this character bleed is your worst Monday.
Mindreading: There are details that I'd prefer to stick with canon on, and some of those, unfortunately are left as to the imagination. Such as his nationality or where he is the Prince of. It's not something that we're told, but we are told it'd start a national uprising. If you have to peg me down to something then come talk, but I'd prefer to kind of keep those things to a minimum if at all possible! Mindreading for other things that are a bit menial ehhh... Just use discretion I'm sure everyone here is a mature adult.
IC Personal Boundaries/Warnings: Pretty much the above stuff. I'd suggest your character not cause him to bleed and if they do they can kiss their butt goodbye if they're on the go. Bel goes in to a blood lust and that's the end of that. It's either him or them or if there's a third intervention then that'd be great.
OOC Personal Boundaries/Warnings: Auhm. Aside approaching me in a manner that derives its roots from the ever present 'asshole', I'm pretty chill. If our chars are smutting... some. how. Don't expect that it's "me", don't refer to it in that way, don't ask 'you' questions unless it's my wants for the character instead of things smut wise. I'm happily taken but even if I wasn't those sorts of things would really bother me.
Other Notes: Auhhhm. Nothing? I can't think of anything. PM me if you'd like me to answer anything else.
